Foundation of the Pierre Frey Company.

In 1935, he starts his own company with 2 handlooms. Also a designer, he is the first to use renowned artists to create different printed materials, unusually colourful for the period. His success is immediate and enduring.
The company specialise in creating, editing and manufacturing high end furnishing fabrics.

 
Born in 1947 into a very creative environment, Patrick Frey joins the family company at the age of 22 after completion of his business studies and an inspiring experience in the industry in the United States.
His very rich experience, his audacity, his talent, his ‘sharpened eye’ and his creativity lead his father Pierre Frey to entrust him with the creation of all new collections in 1976.
At the age of 29, Patrick Frey takes control of the entire artistic direction of the company. Since then and twice a year (about 30 references per year), he dares, he innovates, understands new trends and ideas with respect to a French tradition that he claims and is proud of.
Enthusiastic, passionate, Patrick Frey is a dedicated Chairman running an international company.
Pierre Frey acquires Braquenié.
Founded in 1924 and specialising in 18th and 19th century printed fabrics, Braquenié is the jewel of French textiles and of our group.
Pierre Frey acquires Lauer
Founded in 1870, Lauer has always been famous for its distinctive prints and Cogolin carpets.
 
Pierre Frey launches a furniture line with sofas, armchairs and chairs; and is enriched the following year with low tables, lamps and benches.
Pierre Frey takes over Boussac- Fadini Borghi.
Three extraordinary brands: Boussac, Fadini Borghi and Romanex.
With this acquisition, Pierre Frey becomes the clear leader of the French market and now has a very strong competitive advantage on an international scale by being able to offer a wide range of products in terms of price range ... . Pierre Frey can now also offer to the contract and hospitality industry a truly outstanding collection of fire retardant fabrics.
