First collection of Le Manach fabrics since the acquisition of the factory by la Maison Pierre Frey in 2014
Pushing open the door of Pierre Frey's Archives department is to take the risk of being surprised, of discovering a forgotten beauty, an anecdote about a fabric printed in the 18th century, or a fragment of tapestry with an aristolochia pattern.
This first collection of fabrics that Pierre Frey's design studio has imagined since taking over the manufacture in 2014, is elaborated in the mode of pleasure, without any real thread.
It brings together masterpieces of the past, sublimated by a traditional workmanship: warp or flat-frame printing, pinned or chiselled velvets and jacquards.
These fabrics, representing the quintessence of French style, however classic they may be, easily lend themselves to bold and contemporary combinations.
