Around 1925, the pineapple motif was very much is style. It was used in many imaginative ways, such as in this highly stylized print on linen. The iridescent tone of the motif emphasizes its Cubist geometry and recalls work on decorative metal in the Art Deco style. A special treatment gives new hold to the linen canvas, allowing a straighter hang and rigorous placement.
