Shaman
The shaman is an important figure in the Native American community. He communicates with the spirit world through the interpretation of telluric phenomena. This large width print displays shamanic visions and portraits of Native Americans, reduced to their distinctive elements: war paint and headdresses. This spectacular design is the work of two students at the National School of Decorative Arts in Paris, which collaborates with the House of Pierre Frey. It is also available as coordinated fabric (F3249).

Noémie Vallerand & Carine Prache

Noémie Vallerand & Carine Prache

Sensitive to the notion of transmission and in support of creative youth, after being approached by l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Pierre Frey asked a group of students to reflect and work on the theme around Native american culture. The students explored this theme in groups of pairs composed of one textile designer and one graphic designer. From there 4 wallpapers and 2 fabrics were produced representing both the culture and the beliefs of the Native american people.

Grand Canyon collection

Pierre Frey takes us elsewhere, to the discovery of a New World, with the enthusiasm and freshness of a tireless curiosity seeker. Popularized by explorers' notebooks and Westerns, the first nations of America magnetize with an irresistible attraction. The GRAND CANYON collection evokes this culture, where Native Americans live in harmony with their environment and carry on a never-ending dialog with the spirit world. It offers a perception of the territory from the Rockies to the Great Plains with a perfect balance between respect and freedom.
