A creation inspired by a patchwork of animal skins, LUBIN is a magnificent Nepalese hand-knotted rug. On a leopard wool pile background, two wild beasts dance and play in the heart of the desert.
KARAKOUM is a superb Nepalese hand-knotted rug. Adapted from the fabric of the same name, it blends the softness of wool with the rusticity of hemp. Its geometric design, inspired by Kuba velvets, alternates cut and loop pile, and irregular finishings give it a charming singularity.
Inspired by sub-Saharan architecture in banco, a mixture of clay and straw, this composition plays with the curved volumes characteristic of these constructions. The shapes rise and intertwine to form a resolutely contemporary irregular border. The rug's subtle sculpted effect illustrates the exceptional craftsmanship of hand-tuft.
With its intersecting and intertwining lines, CAMELUS evokes straps, harnesses and fabric strips that connect and disconnect, in reference to the nomadism of caravans. Ochre, leather and bronze hues are enhanced by the alternation of cut and loop pile, which brings depth and richness to the rug.
CHANI is a vibrant sun rising over a sleeping desert. It is made of an extra-fine wool which allows subtle gradations from brown to purplish blue, passing through ochre, red and yellow, the basic tones of the collection.
NUR is a hand-knotted rug in warm, natural tones with a mix of graphic lines and gradations reminiscent of Ikat weavings. It draws its inspiration from both the drapery of Berber fabrics and the seventies imagery of the sun on American deserts. The mix of cut and loop textures underlines the artisanal character of Nepalese hand-knotted rugs.
