The Altar collection designed by Daniel Rous is inspired by the monolithic and monumental furniture of ancient churches. Its imposing, generously proportioned block aesthetic is reminiscent of the altar, the centerpiece and centerpiece of a church around which communities gather, in a sense that is both ritual and convivial. The light catches and underlines with elegance the impressive work of cutting the multiple facets. Like a sculpture carved out of the mass, ALTAR pays tribute to the work and know-how of Maison Pierre Frey's carpenters.
Whether it is a new creation or the adaptation of furniture into a collection, the Pierre Frey workshop's business expertise and equipment facilitate the design, development and follow-up of each project.
The craft industry and the promotion of craftsmanship have been part of the DNA of Maison Pierre Frey since its creation. By taking over a French manufacturing workshop dating back to 1928, it is committed to safeguarding valuable know-how. From site management to draftsmen, carpenters, needleworkers and upholsterers, Pierre Frey recruits master craftspeople or graduates of leading art and design schools.
