Created by Mathias Kiss. A continuation of his research on folding and the deformation of stiff materials, this collaboration with Pierre Frey was initiated by 'Wallpaper' magazine and echoes the artist's personal work by associating one of his painted marbles to wallpaper. He designed and painted the marble using oil paint, a technique he learned during his apprenticeship with the Compagnons. The motif symbolizes the origin of marble, the quarry, the raw stone, the material... and its application in furnishings.
Stain and impact resistant
Maison Pierre Frey responds to the changing needs of its customers and offers a new range of wall coverings that are more resistant and easy to maintain; vinyl wallpapers. Functional and particularly suitable for areas with access, they are designed with a layer of synthetic material applied to the surface of a paper or non-woven backing. This material is worked in a multitude of "grains" that interact with the patterns and challenge the creativity of the studio and the various designers who collaborate with the House on this type of coating.
Pierre Frey wallpapers are designed and created in a spirit of a collection that draws its inspiration from art, travel or history.Discover more
