Mimi Kakushi Restaurant

Dubaï, UAE

Pirajean Lees

Named after the hair trend worn by young Japanese "Moga" women in the 1920s, Mimi Kakushi restaurant, designed by London studio Pirajean Lees, offers a sophisticated setting blending traditional architectural elements with exotic touches, using Pierre Frey ERIDAN and OGAKI wallpapers to punctuate the restaurant's walls and ceiling.

The use of CHANDRA velvet and BALGO jacquard to upholster the banquettes and seats in the reception room reinforces the hushed, rich atmosphere where jazz and modern art merge in a decor reminiscent of the private clubs of the post-war era.
