Pavillon des Jardiniers

Built in 1681 by Louis XIV’s favourite architect, Le Grand Contrôle once welcomed Europe’s political and cultural elite. Restored by Airelles, this historic residence offers an immersion into the French art of living of the 18th century through eleven guestrooms and two signature suites designed by interior architect Christophe Tollemer. Several of the upholstery fabrics, curtains, and wall hangings were bespoke recreations by Maison Pierre Frey, based on original sketches preserved in the archives of the Château de Versailles, endowing each Guestroom and Suite with a unique character.

Pavillon des Jardiniers, home to a restaurant by Alain Ducasse as well as suites conceived as true private residences, extends this experience through a contemporary interpretation of royal splendour. In the restaurant La Table des Jardiniers, JARDINIER JARDINIÈRE adorns the walls and cushions. It is also featured on the chair backs, while the seats are covered in BORDURE EXOTIQUE. The same motif continues onto the curtains, creating a harmonious decorative scheme throughout the room.

In the Le Nôtre Suite, TREILLAGE FLEURI unfolds across the walls, headboard, and fireplace screen. The curtains also combine several Maison archives: TREILLAGE FLEURI, paired with LA FONTAINE, RAYURE GRAND GRANNIE, and RAYURE PETIT GRANNIE, brought together to create bespoke borders. In the Quintinie Suite, ANANAS SUR FOND PICOTÉ is featured on the walls, quilted bedspread, curtains, armchair backs, and fireplace screen, revealing the full depth and richness of its design.In the children’s area, L’ENFANT ET LE DAUPHIN adorns the walls, quilted bedspread, and curtains, as well as a bespoke bolster cushion.
