Overlooking Midtown, the Jean Nouvel Tower offers spectacular views of Central Park. On the 69th floor of 53 West 53, the design duo Humbert & Poyet envisions a model apartment where the elegance of the interior design engages in dialogue with the power of the New York skyline.

Fabrics, Furniture

Shaped around art and craftsmanship, the space expresses a strong aesthetic language, structured by oblique lines, exposed concrete, and varying ceiling heights. The choice of materials and bespoke elements further reinforce the identity of the setting. Custom-made for the space, Pierre Frey furniture pieces dress the volumes with subtlety: the PATT armchair and ottoman, upholstered in the ROCHES toile de Tours by Le Manach, developed exclusively for Humbert & Poyet in a mineral tone, echo the Nouvel structure. The BUENOS AIRES daybed, in cinnamon-toned BALTAZAR velvet, brings a warm accent to the living area, while the VALLON armchair creates a more intimate atmosphere in the bedroom. Always positioned close to the glass façade, these Pierre Frey seating pieces extend the gaze toward the horizon, anchoring the décor within the building’s striking verticality.
