Piano-bar
This very graphic two-tone composition immediately made us think of the dynamism of a wild jazz score. That's how the name Piano-Bar was born. Handcrafted in Nepal in the purest tradition, this hand-knotted rug is made entirely of New Zealand wool. Simply all cut pile to honor the precision of its composition.

Liz Roache

Liz Roache

An ' optimist ' artist!
'A dreamer is a mind that looks beyond the limits of things.' It is with this phrase by Mary O'Hara that the American artist Liz Roache defines herself, relating it to color, which is the central element of her work and the story of her life. Very sensitive to the energy that emanates from it and to the way in which colors respond to each other and integrate into an environment, Liz Roache never stops looking at and studying everything that surrounds her. She perceives infinite combinations of colors, shapes and designs.
'Learning to see' is what Ati Gropius, daughter of the Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius and pupil of the great 20th century master of color Josef Albers, taught her. With Ati, Liz was introduced to the concepts of the Bauhaus: union of art and craft, design and execution, sobriety of forms and materials, interaction of colors...
In her studio/gallery at the Boston Design Center, Liz Roache is surrounded by more than 400 shades of colored paper. She has three favourite mediums: coloured paper, gouache and Japanese Sumi ink in deep, matte black. Liz Roache has a true passion for bold, bright colors and admits to a particular penchant for red-orange. She signed a collection 'OPTIMISM' with Maison Pierre Frey composed of textiles, wallpapers and rugs.

Optimism Collection

An American artist designated as the successor to Ati Gropius (daughter of the Bauhaus founder, Walter Gropius, but above all a pupil of the great 20th century master of colour, Josef Albers), Liz Roache has three favourite mediums: coloured paper, gouache and Japanese Sumi ink. She signed a collection “OPTIMISM” with Maison Pierre Frey composed of textiles, wallpapers and rugs.

“I met Patrick Frey when he came to speak at the opening of the new Pierre Frey showroom at the Boston Design Center. I was captivated by the creative independence of this free spirit for whom Home should be a source of well-being. When the conference ended, we talked, he came to visit my gallery-studio next door to his showroom, understanding my work and our collaboration was obvious.”
