Naoki Kawano

Naoki Kawano

Naoki Kawano is a Paris-based, Japanese-born artist who is addicted to the individual emotional response of viewers once they are confronted with his artworks. He is particularly attracted to the use of delicate and sensitive materials to evoke a strong emotional response. Naoki does not use art as a form of escape f rom reality, but rather creates in such a way that it brings other realms to our reality. Whether through painting, digital art or photography, he constantly explores other sides of our reality and through his art merges several realms into one, our own.

Soleil Levant

SOLEIL LEVANT! A name like a promise of elsewhere, the discovery of a thousand-year-old art, landscapes and a singular craft: the Far East. Driven by the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, between fullness and the traces of human activity, the collection revisits the real or imaginary bestiary of tigers and dragons of this land, Chinese porcelain, and the techniques and patterns of traditional Japanese or Tibetan clothing. It invites poetic escapism through the interplay of textures, inks, shapes and colours in subtle harmonies.
