The RENDEZ-VOUS collection takes its inspiration from textiles from across the globe and among many cultures. A creative spirit sails along interlacing threads and among bobbins and textile weaves as it takes a new look at wall fabrics.

This contemporary encounter between walls and textiles has been expressed with enthusiasm by Maison Pierre Frey through various figured and plain designs in embossed vinyl. Each creation presents a singular raised surface that reflects the manual work of artisanal weavers and delicately highlights its authenticity by suggesting the irregularity of fibers and the woven structure.

The graphic and abstract designs of the collection are printed on trompe l’oeil vinyl with a braided artisanal look, the aspect of unstructured linen canvas and raffia weaves, or even on a background that seems to be made of raw silk. They are enhanced by matte, iridescent or metallic finishes that shade and add rhythm to walls. Designs interwoven with their background invite us on an imaginary journey among epochs and artistic movements. With basketry, caning, geometric shapes, ikats and brush strokes, the designs feature the eclecticism cherished by Pierre Frey.
