Milan Design Week 2026

To mark the Salone del Mobile Milano, Pierre Frey Mobilier presents ‘Allegory of the Loom’, an installation conceived by artist Johanna de Clisson. At the same time, the brand unveils new collections, presented with a more direct approach that places the focuson the pieces themselves.

ALLEGORY OF THE LOOM

Breaking with conventional presentations, the outdoor installation adopts a situational, almost manifest staging. Conceived as a paper-like showcase, it evokes a blank page from which coloured threads emerge, at the very moment of creation. Three suspended fabric panels reinterpret the loom in a contemporary language and highlight the Maison’s artisanal expertise. The whole remains deliberately positioned between the concept and prototype stage, leaving room for interpretation and personalization.

VESTA by Garnier & Linker

VESTA is a cohesive ensemble, where each piece responds to the next in a harmonious balance of form and proportion. Armchair, chair, ottoman, and side tables share a common design language: full, rounded volumes supported by a central wooden base, both a structural anchor and an expressive signature. Its name evokes Vesta, the Roman goddess of the hearth, a quiet, enduring presence associated with intimacy, warmth, and a sense of grounding.

SHIFUMI BY RDAI

SHIFUMI explores a subtle balance between structure and movement. Each tabletop suggests a petal. A simple, legible shape that repeats and echoes, gradually composing a landscape. Available in three heights, the tables come together instinctively. They draw close, overlap, or drift apart, forming ever-changing compositions.

BELLPORT BY CHRISTIAN HAAS

BELLPORT captures the hushed atmosphere of a Long Island village, where understated elegance meets a lifestyle shaped by sharing. It is a place where comfort settles in effortlessly, without ostentation. The proportions are generous, the lines open, the seat deep. The sofa invites you to sit, to gather, and to linger. Here, comfort takes on a form of its own.

THE BETTY CHAIRS

As a nod to the theme, the exhibition opens and closes with the BETTY chairs, designed by interior architect Elisabetta Freda, now available in an outdoor version – a natural progression following the indoor model. This development goes hand in hand with the continued expansionof the Maison’s comprehensive range of outdoor fabrics. BETTY remains true to its origins: a chairinspired by the 1970s, created by the designer’s father.
