Collaborating with the Apparatus studio, Le Manach creates a textile and modernist interpretation of the famous fine and ancestral Iranian marquetry, called Khatam, with a star motif and composed of thousands of inlaid pieces of wood, metal and camel bone.

This designer of lighting, furniture and objects, the New York based Apparatus Studio, chooses Le Manach to develop its fabric, "Isfahan".With its treasure of historic archives, Le Manach has been providing fabrics for exceptional projects such as the Chateau of Versailles and Fontainebleau, the National Assembly and the Elysées Palace since 1829.For Apparatus Studio, Le Manach has created a textile in a modernist interpretation of Khatam, the ancestral Persian style of  fine star-shaped marquetry inlaid with thousands of pieces of wood, metal and camel bones.This collaboration is the meeting of East and West, French weaving know-how and Persian culture, history and modernity.
